The Company Our client is a leading firm in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, and is currently seeking to engage an experienced and passionate Area Sales Manager to contribute to the execution of sales strategies and the successful management of a sales team.
ResponsibilitiesYou'll be in charge of,
- Managing all aspects of assigned sales territory
- Growing total territory points of distribution to achieve growth targets and account visits
- Establishing, developing, and growing a strong base of on-premise and off-premise accounts
- Providing ongoing training, motivation, and development of sales associates to ensure that sales and profits are effectively managed and maintained
- Meeting or exceeding targeted sales quotas and productivity standards
- Utilizing outbound telephone calls, email communications, and face-to-face meetings with customers to close sales
- Developing proposals for prospective customers and deliver sales presentations
- Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers
- Providing excellent customer service by developing a regular route and sales pattern, placing permanent points of sale, planning promotional activities, offer after-sale follow-through
- Travel to organization locations within a given area to meet with and manage sales staff
- Review sales policies and update policies and curriculum as needed
- Identify both struggling and successful sales initiatives and explore ways to improve on sales metrics
